Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Unconditional Basic Income have been on the rise of discussion for some time now. Today’s episode covers what we might be looking into in our near future. The Applications of artificial intelligence is tackling the interest of big corporations to reduce labor costs and improve on their profits. This is no mystery to any of us. Many jobs such as bank tellers, cashiers and production jobs can easily be replaced and will be replaced. A presidential candidate for 2020 named Andrew Yang claims that AI will pay for his plan for unconditional basic income which sounds scary all on its own. His pledge or idea is to provide every American over the age of 18 1000 dollars a month. Although this all sounds great but of course the first question we might as ourselves is who the hell is going to fund this.
Our infrastructure of transportation in our country is going to be the first to get revolutionized with truck drivers in their middles ages out of jobs.Claims that they can learn another trade which is complete stupidity in my opinion. The older we get and the longer we are set in our ways starting over is not going to be an easy task. We really try to address every issue in this show but unfortunately we can be sitting here for days. Unconditional basic income does sound like a great idea but one issue we covered was what is going to stop gas stations and supermarkets from just jacking up their prices on items. In this instance that 1000 dollar a week check brings us back to right where we started.
So many questions very little unclear answers. Please this next election whether your a democrat or republican choose wisely. Lets all make a decision that will not just benefit ourselves but everybody in a fair way.The way the world is changing we can never know what to expect. 50 years ago we thought computers were worthless mainly used by mathematicians and scientists to aide in their tasks. Obviously now computers have gained almost complete control of our lives. AI will be replacing jobs very quickly our job is to prepare and set our futures on a better path.
