Today I had the great pleasure to do an interview with Craig Lewis he’s the author of mental Workshop and surviving the impossible. Most of us wake up in the morning and we can have a nine-to-five job we struggle with paying bills and our families are going to eat. Although that’s usually the case I have learned a lot from Craig Lewis today. We really spoke on a lot of topics money is not everything. Just to give a brief introduction of Craig Lewis you can hear the full episode as well. Craigslist Lewis grew up in the United States of America. He had struggled for years and had a very good job then had lost everything for personal reasons. He eventually travel the world. Now Craig lives in Mexico in in an extinct volcano. Craig Lewis has way of life now is so much easier is not dependent on money he lives a very simple life and sells books on Amazon. His message in the book mental Workshop in surviving the impossible discusses a lot of the things in life that we waste our time thinking about that don’t even really matter. After about an hour of talking to Craig Lewis I started to realize what my priorities really were in life and why I shouldn’t stress so much about money. He taught me that money of course is important 5 there are other options. He also taught me no matter how bad things can get they can always get better with time is just the way that we handle things and how we handle them. This whole conversation with Craig Lewis today took place over a phone over a Skype call I asked Craig I was like so you don’t need money but how are you surviving how are you paying for the cell phone bill he says well I’m selling books helping people at the same time through Amazon I was like all right that’s a great idea. He explained to me that he lives in a small village where people literally go and get eggs from chickens and milk from cows and that’s how these people live real peaceful and they trade with each other in this town it’s not a matter of having money. What I really enjoyed about speaking with Craig Lewis about was the books that he’s written or actually something that he’s lived through. Craig’s not just writing a book just to make a simple profit he’s actually explaining all the hardships that he’s gone through and how hard life is gone from to the point where most of us probably commit suicide at some point if we will experience such hardships. He also explains how many distractions are around us and expectations that we’re all trying to live up to and how all these expectations literally cloud or judgments from what reality really is and what life is. Craig Lewis ask me a question during the interview he says you even really know what happiness is and what actually making you happy I replied I told him well I guess you know a lot of money a home a car and making sure that Foods on the table. Craig Lewis turn around and goes to me he says you know I live off so little money and I live so happily he says I have everything that you’re looking for a tall came at a small price and most of us think Living in America was going to give us that dream he’s living in Mexico and an extinct volcano in a small village with some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I really enjoyed speaking a Craig Lewis today I think it’s very important that I anybody that might be suffering from mental illness or something that he actually touched on that I was aware of was the PTSD but he also speaks about something called c-ptsd which I had no idea about. Anybody who listens to this episode with Craig police support his books what is named mental workshop and the other ones called surviving the impossible and these are both Rain by Craig Lewis they’re definitely worth the money and I would highly recommended and during this episode that I speak to Craig Lewis you’ll be able to learn a lot and get an idea of what kind of person craig lewis is and I really believe he’s an amazing person and I’ve learned a lot from him just speaking to him just for one hour.
